Hotel Don Abbondio - Lecco

Thank you for a perfect 10/10 stay. All the rooms are quiet and very pretty with a balcony and the staff is decent! Superb service and the food is fine. Overall excellent facilities, there's safe parking.

We were delighted with the spacious double room at Hotel Don Abbondio. The room had a lovely small balcony, perfect for enjoying the view. It was spotlessly clean and equipped with modern amenities like a tv and a hairdryer. The bathroom was really good, with a proper window that let in natural light. The staff were kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even recommended a fantastic nearby restaurant called Orestino, which we loved. The croissants at breakfast were excellent, and we appreciated the freshly baked pastries. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this lovely family-run hotel.

While the hotel is older and has a traditional style, we didn't find it to be a negative aspect. The only minor drawback was the lack of specific amenities like an electric kettle and coffee in the room, but they were more than accommodating by providing hot water from the bar daily for free.

Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Our room was cleaned and tidied every day and towels changed daily. Lovely setting overlooking the river and good restaurant right next door. A 20 minute walk into the main area that was very lively on Saturday night with plenty of places to eat. Would recommend this hotel.

Hotel is located in nice part of Lecco, near the lake. It is very charming, stylish, quiet and clean. The room was beautiful and spacious, nicely decorated. Bathroom big in size and very clean -supplied with soap, shampoo, shower cap and hair dryer. Breakfast was nice, not too big, but tasty, with real coffee from coffee machine (unlimited).The staff was very friendly, helpful, polite. Hotel is conveniently located from Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como.Would definitely stay there again and recommend to everyone.

We got great value for our money with a comfortable room and cute hosts. The hotel's location next to the river was perfect, and we loved having a restaurant right next door. The staff, including the concierge and the breakfast team, were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Good staff, good position. Very nice hotel. Nice view. I liked very much the good Italian coffee at breakfast and in the afternoon on the balcony of my room. Adequate, clean and tidy room. I'll surely come back to Lecco and to the Don Abbondio.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Don Abbondio in Lecco for two nights. the hotel is clean, and the staff were helpful. the location is stunning, with mountains surrounding it on three sides. We had booked a room with a fantastic terrace, and the bathroom was equipped with a shower and hair dryers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were pleased with our choice of accommodation.

Walking distance to Lecco - shops, train station etc. Nice restaurant next door.

Lake view wasn't quite what I was expecting - more of a river view - the lake was at its narrowest part.

The staff was friendly and helpful. the hotel is located in a nice riverside area, just a short walk from a big shopping center. Lake Como and a pleasant walking path were right outside the hotel, with several good restaurants nearby. - the hotel is conveniently situated near Ni Gusto; we dined there a couple of times.

Booked a triple room for myself and my brother as that was all they had left that night. When we got there the owner kindly offered (without any persuasion!) to reduce the nightly price by 25 eur (same as a twin) as there was only two of us. Absolute bargain and in a nice part of town overlooking the river

Very polite and welcoming staff. The rooms with view for the lake have big balcony with nice and cozy ambiance. Quite large rooms with big and comfortable bed. Perfect for couples that want to enjoy the atmosphere of Lago di Como and keep in the same mood when return to the hotel.

This place is well-maintained, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are outstandingly clean with pristine bathrooms.

We had a very warm welcome and our room was comfortable. It is an expensive part of Italy and we had trouble finding something more basic, as we wanted, but it was nice to treat ourselves.
